Maui, HI (August 1, 2025) – Local officers are investigating a car crash that occurred in the Maui area on Thursday afternoon, July 31.
According to reports provided by the Maui Police Department (MPD), around 2:30 p.m., a collision between at least two vehicles took place in the area of Baldwin Avenue and Hali’imaile Road. Both vehicles were blocking the Paia-bound lane of Baldwin Avenue and were unable to move.
EMTs and Maui Fire Department officials were also called in to assess the victims’ injuries. At this time, however, the incident is still being investigated, and it’s unclear how many people were ultimately hurt in the incident. Witnesses were asked to get in touch with the MPD in the meantime.
