Auto Accident Injuries in Maui
Multi-vehicle crashes on Hawaii’s roads can upend lives in an instant. Each year, thousands of residents and visitors suffer severe physical injuries—from traumatic brain damage to spinal cord trauma—because another driver chose to speed, text behind the wheel, or climb into the driver’s seat after drinking. National data show speeding alone claimed more than 11,000 lives in a recent twelve-month period; higher speeds rob motorists of split-second reaction time and magnify the force of any impact.
The aftermath of a collision is often as overwhelming as the impact itself. Painful medical procedures, months of rehabilitation, mounting hospital bills, lost paychecks, and anxiety about the future can leave families feeling powerless. When a loved one is killed, the emotional and financial toll escalates even further.
Under Hawai‘i law, crash victims—and surviving relatives in fatal accidents—have the right to pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost income, property damage, and non-economic losses such as pain, suffering, and loss of companionship. Prompt legal action can preserve critical evidence like skid-mark measurements, dash-cam footage, and cellphone records that may prove a driver’s negligence.
