Maui, HI – Bicycle Crash, Injuries on Waiko Rd at Hono Hwy

Maui, HI (June 6, 2025) – According to Maui officers and EMTs, a bicyclist was hit and injured by a vehicle on Friday evening, June 6.

At around 9:00 p.m., officers with the Maui Police Department responded to the area of Waiko Road and Honoapi’ilani Highway in Waikapu. The cyclist did not sustain life-threatening injuries, but it’s unclear if the bicyclist was transported to an area hospital. Meanwhile, the roadway was closed in both directions as police investigated the scene. Witnesses were asked to come forward with additional information as soon as possible.
