Honolulu, HI – Multi-Vehicle Collision, Fire Reported on H-1 Fwy

Honolulu, HI (May 3, 2025) – Following a motor vehicle accident, two vehicles were seen on fire on the H-1 Freeway in the Halawa area on Saturday afternoon, May 3.

The fire started around 1:30 p.m. near the Aiea Heights Drive Overpass heading in the town-bound direction. Honolulu police closed three lanes while they directed traffic away from the vehicles. Emergency medical services were requested at the scene, but the total number of injured victims is still unknown. The crash is under investigation, and witnesses were asked to get in touch.
