Maui, HI – Pedestrian Hit & Injured in Collision on Kapunakea St at Hono Hwy

Maui, HI (May 15, 2025) – According to officers with the Maui Police Department (MPD), a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the area of Kapunakea Street and Honoapi’ilani Highway early Thursday morning, May 15.

The crash occurred just before 4:00 a.m., and the MPD and Maui Fire were responding. EMTs also reported to the site, but the pedestrian’s current condition is unclear. However, no further details have been released at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
