Maui, HI (September 19, 2023) – On the evening of September 19, Tuesday, emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of an injury accident in Maui. Responders went to the crash site at around 8:00 p.m. after receiving reports concerning the incident. 

At least one person suffered injuries in the collision that occurred on North Kihei Road near Kealia Pond. Sources say a vehicle involved left the roadway and entered the area of the pond for reasons still being investigated. Medics found the vehicle overturned and one party unconscious inside.

Police and paramedics worked at the crash scene for some time on Tuesday evening in an effort to help the people involved and clear the crash site. The involved parties have not been identified at this time. 

Authorities in Maui continue to investigate.
