Honolulu, HI – Several Injured in Violent Crash on Kam Hwy

October 14, 2025

Honolulu, HI (October 14, 2025)  A violent two-vehicle collision left several people injured on Monday, October 13, in Honolulu. The collision happened around 5:44 a.m. near the 1000 block of Kamehameha Highway, according to the Honolulu Police Department.

Police said two vehicles collided with tremendous force while traveling along the busy roadway. The impact left debris scattered across multiple lanes.

Crews from the Honolulu Fire Department arrived within minutes. Paramedics treated the victims at the scene before rushing them to nearby hospitals for further care.

Officers shut down portions of Kamehameha Highway for several hours while investigators collected evidence, photographed the wreckage, and reconstructed the scene. Authorities are reviewing whether speeding, distraction, or reckless driving played a role in the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.

We wish those injured a full and swift recovery.

Car Accidents in Hawaii

Car accidents in Hawaii happen more often than many people realize. With busy roads like Kamehameha Highway and unpredictable traffic, a collision can happen in seconds and leave victims with life-changing injuries.

Victims of severe collisions often suffer catastrophic injuries that require immediate care and months of recovery. These injuries may include traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord damage, multiple fractures and internal bleeding. Many victims spend weeks or months in the hospital, need repeated surgeries or face permanent disabilities that change how they live.

When another driver’s reckless actions cause a crash, you have the right to pursue compensation. This can cover:

  • Medical Expenses: This may include costs for treatment, surgeries, hospital care, rehabilitation, and any future medical needs.
  • Lost Income: Victims can receive payment for wages lost during recovery and for any reduced ability to work in the future.
  • Pain and Suffering: This may account for the physical pain, emotional distress, and psychological effects caused by the crash.
  • Property Damage: Victims can be reimbursed for repairing or replacing their vehicle and any other damaged belongings.
  • Long-Term Care: Compensation may also cover ongoing therapy, necessary home changes, and support for long-term recovery.

If you or someone you love suffered serious injuries in a Hawaii car accident, it is important to act quickly. Insurance companies often try to limit payouts or deny claims. A trusted Honolulu car accident lawyer can protect your rights, handle negotiations, and fight for the compensation you deserve.
