Honolulu, HI – Pedestrian Critically Hurt in H-1 Fwy Crash

Honolulu, HI (August 16, 2025) – A 73-year-old man is fighting for his life after a vehicle struck him while he attempted to cross the H-1 Freeway on Thursday night, August 14.

According to the Honolulu Police Department, the crash happened just before 8:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes near the Middle Street exit. Emergency Medical Services arrived within minutes and found the man with multiple traumatic injuries from the high-speed collision. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
