Moped Accidents in Hawaii
Across the state of Hawaii, moped accidents continue to result in tragic loss of life and serious injuries. These crashes are often caused by drivers who fail to follow traffic laws or exercise caution around smaller, less protected vehicles. Distracted driving—particularly texting while behind the wheel—has become a growing concern nationwide, contributing to thousands of crashes each year, including those involving mopeds.
Moped riders are especially vulnerable on Hawaii’s roads due to their lack of physical protection. As a result, collisions frequently lead to devastating outcomes such as traumatic brain injuries, internal organ damage, and other life-threatening conditions. In many cases, these injuries prove fatal. Sadly, we continue to see far too many families in Hawaii forced to endure the heartbreak of losing a loved one in a preventable moped crash caused by a negligent driver.
