Waipio, HI (October 8, 2023) – Emergency officials were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Waipio.

The accident was reported at around 840 p.m. on October 6.

According to reports provided by the Honolulu Police Department, a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of H-2 in the area near the off-ramp for Ka Uka Boulevard.

The incident prompted officials to close down a portion of the roadway while assisting at the scene.

Emergency medical service personnel provided treatment to parties who were injured before transporting them to area hospitals.

The police department is currently investigating the incident.
