Hawaii Car Accidents
Each year, Hawaii sees several collisions that end in injuries for the people involved. Traumatic spinal cord injuries, bone fractures, and injuries to internal organs are just a small portion of the injuries reported related to these collisions. Numerous factors come into play in the cause of these accidents in Hawaii.
Distracted driving is a main cause of car crashes in the Aloha State as well as throughout the country, as it can greatly increase the chances of drivers making mistakes while behind the wheel. Texting and/or talking on the phone is the most common distraction, often causing devastating injuries and fatalities. Speeding also poses a severe risk, increasing the difficulty of maintaining control for drivers.
Aggressive driving, including reckless driving and tailgating, places everyone at risk and can cause vehicle collisions. Additionally, slippery and wet road conditions contribute to crashes. The sad truth is that most of these wrecks are totally preventable. However, we continue to see innocent people hurt as a result of drivers who are reckless and negligent.
