Rollover Crashes in Hawaii
When a vehicle overturns on the roadway, its occupants can be severely injured, especially if they are not properly restrained.
There are multiple scenarios that can lead to vehicle rollovers, but the most common causes in Hawaii include:
- Debris in the Roadway: Anytime a driver swerves to avoid or fails to notice debris in the roadway, they are in danger of losing control of their vehicle and potentially being involved in a rollover accident. Dropped cargo falling from poorly loaded trucks, detritus leftover from construction work, and even potholes can be the cause of a vehicle rollover serious enough to cause injuries.
- Car Crashes: Rollover accidents can also occur when one vehicle crashes into another. Drunk driving, running red lights, speeding, and many other kinds of driver negligence can pave the way for an accident during which one or more vehicles overturn. If you were injured in a rollover crash caused by another driver’s carelessness, we can help you bring them to account.
- Automobile Defects: SUVs, trucks, cars, and other motor vehicles need to be created and built in such as way that the occupant’s safety is paramount during an accident. Manufacturing flaws or deficiencies in the vehicle’s steering, electrical stability control feature, brakes, tires, or other components can result in preventable rollover accidents. If a defective part caused your accident, you can seek damages via a product liability claim.
Rollover accidents typically cause serious injuries. Traumatic brain injury, spinal injuries, and broken bones are just a few of the injuries that a rollover crash can cause. These injuries often leave victims buried under a pile of medical bills and unable to work.
