Car Accidents in Hawaii

Automobile accidents in Hawaii leave thousands of people injured every year. Unfortunately, suffering a serious injury can have an overwhelming impact on a person’s life. Many accidents that we see here in Hawaii are caused by negligent drivers.  Leading factors in Hawaii car crashes include:

  • Failure to Yield: When drivers do not yield to others sharing the road, they can crash into them and cause serious harm. Regrettably, we often see accidents caused by drivers who do not yield while switching lanes or turning at intersections.
  • Reckless Driving Actions: Drivers acting in reckless manners while operating their vehicles place the lives of others sharing the road at serious risk of being harmed. Regrettably, there are many accidents that occur due to drivers switching lanes recklessly, tailgating, and engaging in other careless and senseless acts.
  • Passing Stop Signs: Stop signs are put in place to ensure drivers are able to safely pass through intersections. When drivers disobey them and pass through, they can crash into others and cause severe injuries and damage.

When drivers fail to operate their vehicles safely and in a responsible manner, they place the lives of other people traveling near them at risk of being harmed. If you have the unfortunate experience of being hurt in a car crash due to the actions of another driver, you may be able to take legal action. You should consult with a Wailuku car accident lawyer right away to determine what course of action you need to take moving forward. Your attorney will be able to advise you and provide you with more information regarding your rights.
