Waianae, HI (December 29, 2022) – On Wednesday, December 28, a Honolulu police officer was hurt when he had to jump out of the way of a vehicle driven by a suspect in Waianae. 

The incident was reported at the Waianae District Park on Farrington Highway at around 11 a.m. It was reported that 21-year-old Travis Key was driving a stolen vehicle when he deliberately tried to hit the HPD officer. The officer was trying to stop the vehicle. 

The man was hurt and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Key was arrested for attempted murder, car theft, resisting arrest, and a contempt warrant. No additional information has been provided at this time.
