Waialua, HI (January 8, 2023) – A serious auto accident occurred in Waialua on January 8. Shortly before 5:00 p.m., emergency responders were sent to assist at the scene of an accident on Waialua Beach Road. 

According to preliminary reports, the crash happened on Waialua Beach Road near Haleiwa Road. At least one person was hurt in the collision, however, the extent of any injuries suffered has not been reported. 

Crews worked at the scene for an extended period of time on the evening of January 8, causing significant delays in traffic. At this time, what caused the accident is still being investigated by local police.
