Wahiawa, HI – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on Kamehameha Hwy near Ohai St

Wahiawa, HI (January 24, 2023)-Tuesday morning, January 24, 2023, an accident took place going southbound on Kamehameha Highway. The multi-vehicle collision was reported to be close to Ohai Street. The collision forced all southbound lanes on Kamehameha Highway to close for a period of time. Traffic was rerouted but it is reported that all lanes are open once again on the highway. 

The motor vehicle accident called for the immediate assistance of emergency responders such as the Honolulu Police Department, the Honolulu Fire Department, and emergency medical services. These responders were dispatched shortly after the accident happened. 

According to the police officials that arrived at the scene, the details are currently unclear about what happened that could have caused the accident. However, it is confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the collision. The injuries sustained by the drivers or other passengers and their current medical conditions are unknown at this time. 

The Honolulu Police Department remains at the scene presently to investigate the initial cause of the two-vehicle collision.
