Hawaii Auto Accidents

Wahiawa, HI - Auto Collision with Injuries on Wilikina Dr near King Bible ChurchCar wrecks happen constantly throughout the United States.  Every year, over 6 million vehicle accidents happen throughout the nation that cause injuries to over 3 million people and take the lives of over 40,000. These wrecks happen for a multitude of different reasons, including vehicle problems, road construction, and, most prevalently, driver negligence.  In Hawaii, approximately 10,000 serious auto accidents happen per year, the majority of which are the result of negligent driving.

Many different forms of driver negligence exist today. With the ever-increasing use and popularity of smartphones in our society, the number of distracted drivers on the roadways continues to rise. Driver distraction is the most common form of driver negligence, causing over 400,000 auto crashes per year and taking the lives of about 3,000 people annually. These numbers are comparable to the crash rates in the most populated states in the US, like Texas, Florida and California.

Sustaining injuries in a severe auto accident can be an overwhelming and scary experience. Especially when your injuries are severe, your life may be negatively impacted for days, weeks, or even years to come. When you’re stuck in the hospital and unable to work, with serious injuries causing you pain, your mind will most likely be full of stress and anxiety.

If you were injured in an auto accident caused by driver negligence, you may qualify for financial compensation for all of the costs related to the incident. Basically, you may be able to sue the individual who caused your injuries. A lawsuit like this is called a personal injury claim and can help you financially recover after you’re hurt by another person’s negligent actions. You may be able to collect compensation for medical care costs, repairs to your vehicle, lost wages, and more.

At Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner, we are completely dedicated to preserving the rights of our injured clients and helping them exercise their legal rights by getting them the financial compensation they need and deserve during this difficult time. Though driver negligence is, no doubt, one of the most preventable causes of car wrecks in the US, it is the most common reason they occur.
