How Can Someone Request a Police Report in Kaneohe, HI?

A person can request a copy through the Honolulu Police Department’s Records Division, either by email, mail, or in person, and must include a valid government-issued ID along with basic details such as the date, location, and report number if known.

A copy of the report can help confirm basic facts such as the vehicles involved, any citations issued, and initial observations from the responding officer. Insurance companies commonly rely heavily on this document when they decide how to handle a claim.

Some reports are not released right away if the underlying investigation is still open, which can be frustrating for someone trying to move forward with a claim. A Kaneohe car accident lawyer can help follow up with the Records Division, track the status of a pending report, and gather other supporting evidence in the meantime, such as photos or witness contact information.

At Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner, we can help you request and track down a copy of your report on your behalf. Our team is ready to review your case and help you understand what steps to take next.

If you have questions about your case, you can contact Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner at (808) 537-2525. We are here to help you clear your doubts.
