Hawaii Car Accidents

American auto collisions continue to occur frequently despite the leaps and bounds made in safety features in today’s vehicles. Car crashes result in over 4.5 million injured Americans per year. In Hawaii, thousands of auto accidents are reported yearly. Sadly, hundreds of people end up losing their lives in these accidents. It’s easy to think that you will never become injured in a car crash, however, the truth is that most American drivers will become involved in at least four auto collisions throughout their lives.

Car crashes are always unexpected. Before you even know what happened, you may find yourself involved in a severe accident that injured you to the point of needing professional medical attention. Unfortunately, it isn’t possible to prevent car crashes from happening. However, drivers can choose to remain aware, awake, alert, and sober at all times, which may greatly reduce the likelihood that they will be involved in a collision.

If you or someone you love has been injured in a Hawaii auto accident, it is likely it was caused by driver negligence. The most prevalent causes of traffic accidents in the Aloha State include distraction, intoxication, and speeding. These, among others, are very common types of driver negligence seen in the US today. Hundreds of thousands of people are hurt in the United States every year due to the actions of negligent drivers. In one recent year, distracted driving caused more than 20% of all crash-related fatalities in the state of Hawaii. If a negligent driver caused your accident, you will most likely be eligible to collect financial compensation for numerous damages that may have resulted from your accident and the injuries that followed.
