Pukakani, HI – Injuries, Entrapment Reported in Car Crash on Haleakala Highway by Pi’imauna St

Pukakani, HI (October 12, 2023) – The Maui Police Department and area firefighters were called to the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Pukakani. The incident was reported at around 11:10 a.m. on October 11.

According to investigations provided by the Maui police department, a collision between vehicles occured on Haleakala Highway by Pi’imauna Street.

The incident caused disruptions in the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

At least one person had to be extricated by firefighters. Four people were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were transported to local hospitals for further medical care.

The accident is being investigated at this time.
