Motorcycle Accidents in Hawaii
All different types of auto accidents happen in the state of Hawaii and throughout the United States every year. Motorcycle collisions are some of the most devastating types of accidents that occur on roadways in the United States. Each year, thousands of people suffer serious injuries and lose their lives in motorcycle accidents in the country.
Each year, the US sees around 90,000 injuries that result from motorcycle accidents and almost 5,000 fatalities. Obviously, motorcyclists are more prone to becoming injured due to traveling with little to no protection against the force of larger vehicles. If a motorcyclist becomes involved in a crash with a typical passenger car, they are more likely to sustain severe or even deadly injuries than those who are in the other vehicle.
There are a lot of motorcycle riders in Hawaii. It is a well-liked place to ride mopeds and motorcycles year-round because of the lovely surroundings and pleasant climate. It is important for all drivers in Hawaii to keep this in mind. In Hawaii, where they are more prevalent than in other states, drivers should always be on the lookout for motorcycles. When a motorcyclist is hurt in a car accident, it is likely that the driver was at fault for the collision.
Statistics around motorcycle accidents in the country show that around 50% of motorcycle accidents occur due to the actions of negligent drivers– not motorcyclists. The most prevalent reason motorcycle accidents happen in the US is drivers failing to yield the right of way.
