Auto Accidents & Victim Injuries in Hawaii
Occasionally, automobile incidents are brought about by a single exogenous event over which no driver has any influence. However, a motor vehicle accident is far more likely to be the consequence of several factors that culminate in a single terrible event. Even while it is true that occasionally no one is at fault, the great majority of fatal car accidents are the result of reckless driving by one or more drivers.
Examples of common instances of driver carelessness that often lead to major automobile accidents are:
- Distracted drivers, such as those watching the radio, texting, or talking on the phone
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Drivers who behave negligently or recklessly
- Drivers who do not maintain their cars
Thousands of persons, including walkers, joggers, children, bicyclists, and even the occupants of other vehicles, are in danger regularly as a result of these and other reckless actions.
When a person in control of an object capable of ending lives is irresponsible, distracted, or careless for even a moment, the probability that they will kill or badly hurt someone is high.
Hawaii complies with no-fault car insurance legislation. This means that injured parties must file a claim with their insurance provider for payment of their medical expenses, regardless of the cause.
If a car accident left you with serious injuries, medical bills over $5,000, disfigurement, or a permanent handicap, you may be qualified to seek financial compensation from the driver who caused your injuries.
