Accidents Involving Motorized Bikes in Hawaii
Motorized bikes, such as mopeds, make up just 3% of all vehicles registered in the state of Hawaii but are involved in more than 15% of all deadly road collisions. Accidents involving motorized bikes are usually extremely serious due to the fact that riders are completely exposed to other vehicles, the elements, and the pavement, and because they do not come with even the most basic safety features.
The Share the Road program, created by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, exists for the singular purpose of creating a heightened awareness of the safety of those who ride motorized bikes. Sadly, accidents still take place leaving many riders with serious injuries.
If you were hurt during an accident as a motorized bike rider in Hawaii, you could be eligible to receive financial compensation that will cover your medical bills, lost earnings from being unable to work, and other losses.
