Maui, HI (September 3, 2023) – A car crash was reported to police in Maui on the evening of September 1. Responders went to the crash site at around 6:20 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident. 

Local sources say the collision occurred on the Hana Highway near Holomua Road. Two cars collided for reasons still under police investigation. 

The Maui Police Department and fire crews remained at the scene for some time on Saturday while they helped the people involved in the accident and worked to figure out how it occurred. Local motorists were asked to find different routes of travel while emergency responders worked in the area.
