Maui, HI (November 10, 2024) – Officers with the Maui Police Department (MPD) reported a pedestrian accident in the area of Honokeana Cove in Napili on Sunday evening, November 10.

Police say the incident took place around 7:10 p.m., and MPD officers, as well as EMTs and Engine 1 teams from the Maui Fire Department, were dispatched to the site of the crash shortly thereafter. Officials added that the driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene to cooperate with officials, according to initial reports. However, the victim’s current condition remains unclear; witnesses were asked to get in touch with the MPD in the interim, and an investigation is still active and ongoing.
