Maui, HI (August 1, 2023) – A car accident happened in Maui today that ended in injuries. Reports from authorities show the incident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. on August 1. 

Responders went to the scene to find four vehicles that had been involved in an accident on the Maui Veterans Highway. The wreck reportedly occurred near the Central Maui Baseyard for reasons still under local law enforcement investigation. 

One person sustained injuries in the collision and received treatment from EMS at the scene. They were taken to the hospital by ambulance for further care. Currently, their identity has not been reported. 

The roadway was blocked for some time while emergency crews worked in the area. Police in Maui continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
