Hawaii Motorcycle Accidents

Motorcycle accidents happen constantly in the United States and across the state of Hawaii. Due to its beautiful scenery and weather, motorcycling is extremely popular in the Aloha State. Sadly, those who become involved in motorcycle accidents usually sustain more severe injuries than those who are hurt in other types of traffic collisions. This is because motorcyclists travel with little to no protection.

Additionally, most motorcycle collisions are caused by negligent driving. More than 50% of the reported motorcycle accidents in the United States are caused by drivers who are intoxicated, fatigued, distracted, or speeding. The type of negligence that contributes to the majority of motorcycle wrecks in the United States is currently failing to yield the right of way. Common motorcycle injuries include:

  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Bone breaks/Bone Fractures
  • Damage to the spine
  • Disc Herniation
  • Fatality

Catastrophic injuries generally cause severe economic losses, as well as extreme non-economic damages. From lost earnings to hospital costs intense pain and suffering, the economic impacts of a motorcycle accident can be absolutely devastating to accident victims and their loved ones. If you or a loved one were injured in a motorcycle accident in Hawaii, you may consider how the accident took place. If a negligent driver caused your crash, you probably have legal options available that can help you recover.

The financial consequences that stem from a motorcycle accident must be handled as quickly as possible. Being stuck in the hospital and unable to make a living while bills are piling up can be stressful and overwhelming. You may be eligible to collect financial compensation for a wide array of damages that resulted from your accident.
