Hawaii Car Crashes

The Island of Hawaii is home to approximately 1.4 million people, so it is not surprising that thousands of car crashes occur yearly in the Aloha State. In fact, over 10,000 car crashes happen each year across the Aloha State, causing countless people to become injured.

Car crashes are some of the most common reasons individuals in the United States become injured or lose their lives. Each year, over 3 million individuals suffer injuries in car accidents throughout the US. In Hawaii, tens of thousands of people are hurt in car crashes every year. Unfortunately, most of these accidents are caused by the actions of negligent drivers.

Driver negligence may be displayed in numerous ways, including distraction, intoxication, and fatigue. Each year, over 400,000 car crashes happen due to the actions of distracted drivers. Additionally, driver intoxication is the reason behind over 30% of fatal accidents in the United States.
