Car Accidents in Hawaii
Hawaii sees tens of thousands of car accidents every single year that cause injuries to thousands of people and take the lives of hundreds. Throughout the United States, auto collisions have become the main cause of the majority of serious injuries and deaths reported throughout the country. Unfortunately, preventable behaviors, such as intoxication in distraction, are the main cause of the majority of these accidents.
In Hawaii specifically, most auto accidents are caused by driver intoxication, distraction, and speeding. Accidents caused by behaviors of this nature are often more dangerous and devastating than crashes that happen for other reasons. This is because when drivers travel while distracted, intoxicated, or at unsafe speeds, they often have their reaction times drastically reduced, their vision may be impaired, or they may simply just not be paying attention to their surroundings.
When you or someone you love has been hurt by a negligent driver, you are undoubtedly going through a very difficult time. You may be stuck at home or in the hospital while you attempt to recover from painful injuries that may be keeping you from living your life and going to work. Additionally, the bills may be piling up against you related to your accident and your injuries. The average cost of recovering from a severe vehicle accident injury in the United States ranges in the tens of thousands of dollars. The average American citizen does not have this kind of money just lying around to spend on medical bills alone.
