Maui, HI – Bicyclist Hospitalized in Vehicle Crash on S Kihei Rd

Maui, HI (February 5, 2025) – According to Maui officers and EMTs, a bicyclist was hit and injured by a vehicle on Wednesday evening, February 5.

At around 8:00 p.m., officers with the Maui Police Department responded to 1606 South Kihei Road near Welekahao. The cyclist was reportedly on the ground when EMTs arrived, though the victim was responsive. The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, the roadway was closed in both directions as police investigated the scene. Witnesses were asked to come forward with additional information as soon as possible.
