Car Accidents in Hawaii

Auto accidents take place frequently in Hawaii and often have devastating consequences for those involved. In many cases, innocent people are left with severe and traumatic injuries that impact their lives forever. Common injuries reported in accidents that we see across the Hawaiian Islands include:

  • Spinal cord fractures
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Broken bones
  • Internal organ injuries
  • Whiplash and other soft tissue injuries

One of the most common causes of car accidents in Hawaii is running red lights or failing to yield at stop signs. This can often happen when drivers are in a hurry or not paying attention to their surroundings.

Distracted driving continues to be a leading factor in most classes across the state. This can include anything from texting on a cellphone to taking your eyes off the road to simply changing the radio station. Distracted driving is extremely dangerous and can easily lead to an accident.

Finally, speeding is another major contributing factor to traffic collisions in our state. Speeding makes it more difficult to stop or avoid an accident. It also dramatically increases the severity of injuries suffered. If you have been hurt in any car accident, be sure to call the police and seek medical attention if necessary. It is also crucial to contact a car accident lawyer in Hawaii as soon as possible to protect your legal rights and best interests.
