Motor Vehicle Wrecks in Hawaii

Every year, thousands of collisions resulting in injuries take place in the state of Hawaii. In many cases, people suffer debilitating injuries due to negligent drivers. Although no two accidents are alike, we see many similarities between the injuries that those who are involved suffer. Some of the leading injuries include:

  • Internal organ injuries
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Broken bones

Regrettably, thousands of innocent people are forced to deal with overwhelming consequences due to drivers who are negligent. In Hawaii, the leading factors in auto collisions include:

  • Weather conditions: Bad weather, such as rain or fog, can make it difficult to see other cars or obstacles on the road, leading to accidents.
  • Speeding: Speeding is a major factor in accidents, especially on highways and other busy roads.
  • Distracted driving: Drivers who are distracted by their cell phones, food, or other passengers in the car are more likely to cause an accident.
  • Alcohol use: Drunk driving is a serious problem and is one of the leading causes of accidents in Hawaii.
  • Road conditions: Potholes, cracks, and other defects in the road can cause accidents if drivers aren’t careful.
