Lahaina, HI (November 14, 2023) – Officers with the Maui Police Department responded to the scene of a major multi-vehicle accident that took place in the Lahaina area.

The collision occurred at around 9:50 p.m. on November 11.

Law enforcement reports show that a head-on collision involving three vehicles occurred on the side of the tunnel near the Honoapi’ilani Highway. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the road as they provided assistance. The involved vehicles were identified as a van, a truck, and a white sedan. All three vehicles were towed due to the damage suffered.

The Maui Police Department was assisted at the scene by multiple firefighter units.
