Car Accidents in Hawaii

When it comes to car accidents, Hawaii has its fair share of unfortunate statistics. According to recent data, there were over 10,000 reported car accidents in the state last year alone. That’s an alarming number, considering the relatively small population.

One major factor in many car crashes that take place across Hawaii is distracted driving. We see so many people causing car crashes as a result of texting on the phone, talking on their phones, and eating. These dangerous habits take their attention away from the road and can lead to serious accidents.

Another common cause of car accidents in Hawaii is speeding. Many drivers underestimate just how dangerous going above the speed limit can be. It reduces reaction time and increases the severity of collisions when they do occur. Unfortunately, these accidents are often severe in nature.

Drunk driving also continues to be a significant problem in Hawaii. Despite strict laws and public awareness of how big of a problem this is, some individuals still choose to get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol or drugs.
