Kihei, HI – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on School St near Alaneo St

Kihei, HI (November 15, 2023) – A female pedestrian lost her life as a result of an automobile accident that occurred in Honolulu County on Monday morning, November 12. At around 7:15 a.m., the Honolulu Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on School Street.

Preliminary reports provided by authorities indicate that a pickup truck driven by a 51-year-old man was traveling through the intersection of School Street and Alaneo Street during the morning hours. At the same time, a woman in her 80s was crossing the roadway at the intersection.

The pickup truck struck the pedestrian, causing severe injuries. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and immediately began administering life-saving treatment to the victim. She was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. At this time, investigations are underway.
