Kihei, HI (November 11, 2023) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a crash that occurred on Thursday evening, November 9.

At around 5:20 p.m., officers with the Maui Police Department and local firefighters were called to the scene of an accident that occurred on the Pi’ilani Highway.

Authorities reported that a motor vehicle accident between vehicles took place on the highway in the area near Mapu Place. The car crash prompted authorities to close down a portion of the highway as they provided assistance at the scene.
