Kanaha, HI – Bicyclist Injured in Car Crash on Honoapi’ilani Highway near Akahele St

Kanaha, HI (October 12, 2023) – A bicycle accident reported in the Kanaha area sent one person to a local hospital with injuries. The crash occurred at around 11:30 a.m. on October 11.

Reports from the Maui Police Department show that a collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle took place on Honoapi’ilani Highway in the area near Akahele Street.

The Police Department was assisted by the Maui Fire Department and emergency medical services.

The bicyclist was injured in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.

The incident is being investigated at this time.
