Car Accidents in Hawaii
Automobile accidents occur for many different reasons. In rare cases, no one is to blame but, quite often, a car accident is the result of reckless driving.
Some examples of common types of negligence that cause serious car accidents include:
- Distracted driving, such as making calls and texting from behind the wheel
- Driving while drunk
- Reckless driving
- Insufficiently maintained vehicles
- Poorly laid-out intersections and streets
These and many other forms of negligence place countless people in harm’s way, including bicyclists, walkers, and even other drivers. When the driver of a potentially lethal object is distracted or careless for even a second, the chances of them taking a life or leaving a victim seriously injured are extremely high.
Not only are accident victims forced to cope with daily pain and suffering, but they also face rapidly accumulating medical bills while being unable to work. If you were hurt due to the carelessness of another driver, you are most likely entitled to pursue a personal injury case against the person responsible.
