Kalihi, HI – Traffic Collision with Injuries on H1 W near Houghtailing Exit

Kalihi, HI (March 7, 2023) – A car accident happened in Kalihi on the night of March 7 that ended in injuries. Sources report the collision occurred at around 10:25 p.m. 

Local officials say the collision happened on H1 west in the left lane, just before the Houghtailing Street Exit. The Honolulu Police Department responded to the scene along with paramedics and fire crews. 

The number of vehicles involved in the accident has not been disclosed at this time. EMTs worked to help injured parties at the scene. Those in need of extensive medical care were taken by ambulance to area hospitals for treatment. 

The highway was blocked near Houghtailing Street for some time on the night of March 7. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
