Hawaii Car Accidents

There are tens of thousands of car accidents reported in Hawaii each year.  Numerous people are injured in these collisions and some lose their lives. Auto collisions are among the leading causes of severe injuries and fatalities in the United States. Per year, approximately 3 million people are injured in auto accidents in the United States. About 32,000 people lose their lives annually in car accidents throughout the country.

Injuries that usually result from serious car wrecks include:

  • Broken bones
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Brain injuries

Currently, the leading cause of American auto accidents is driver negligence. Driver negligence accounts for over 94% of the traffic wrecks reported. Accidents caused by driver negligence may be much more devastating than collisions that occur for other reasons.

The consequences that stem from sustaining a serious injury in a traffic accident are usually severe. Not only do victims suffer from physical injuries, but they also face difficult emotional and financial issues. It is important for the negligent driver who caused your crash to be held accountable for their actions so they are less likely to put another person in your same predicament, or worse.
