Hawaii Pedestrian Wrecks

Being injured in an auto accident can be painful and scary. An experience of this nature is not something anyone wants to go through. People who are hurt in car crashes can suffer for days, weeks, or even months after their collisions. Pedestrians are often more severely injured than other people who may be hurt in car accidents. This is due to the fact that while they travel, pedestrians are basically unprotected against the force of large, fast-moving vehicles.

Depending on the nature of their injuries, those who are hurt in car crashes may need to stay in the hospital for weeks or longer. They may need to endure extensive medical care and possibly surgery in order to make a full recovery. An experience like this can be expensive, exhausting, and time-consuming.

Hawaii sees tens of thousands of car accidents every year. On average, approximately 20,000 people are injured in these crashes. Unfortunately, the majority of the auto collisions reported in Hawaii and throughout the country occur due to the actions of negligent drivers. Distracted, intoxicated, or fatigued driving is dangerous and selfish and may end in severe or even deadly accidents. Working with a car accident attorney in Honolulu is the best way to totally recover after you were hurt in a negligently caused accident.

If you have been injured by driver negligence, it is important for you to have a working understanding of your legal right toward compensation. Negligent driving causes over 90% of car accidents reported in the United States. If you or someone you love was injured in a crash caused by a drunk, drowsy, or distracted driver, you deserve to be fully compensated for your losses and injuries.

Lost wages, medical costs, vehicle repairs, and more may be able to be covered by compensation by filing a personal injury claim with an attorney. Even non-economic damages like loss of consortium, pain, suffering, and more can be covered by financial compensation depending on the circumstances of the crash. A personal injury attorney can help you figure out if you are entitled to compensation for your injuries.
