Kalihi, HI – House Fire on Iao Ln Causes Injuries

September 6, 2022

Kalihi, HI (September 05, 2022) – Honolulu fire crews battled a house fire on Iao Lane in Kalihi on Monday, September 5th.

Firefighters responded to the scene at about 7:40 a.m. and found the structure fully engulfed in flames. Access to the inside was heavily impeded by hoarding conditions.

According to witnesses, flames could be seen from Interstate H1 near the exit for Houghtailing Street.

Police shut down the immediate area to allow fire trucks and paramedics to access the site. Unconfirmed reports indicate that at least one person was transported from the scene by ambulance.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
