Kalihi, HI – Collision with Injuries on Nimitz Hwy near Alakawa St

Kalihi, HI (November 15, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Kalihi area resulted in injuries. Calls for assistance came in at around 6:30 a.m. on November 13. Officers with the Honolulu Police Department, firefighters, and emergency medical services responded.

Authorities reported that a collision between vehicles occurred on Nimitz Highway, blocking multiple lanes on the eastbound side of the road. Authorities closed off the highway near Alakawa Street as they provided assistance. Three tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the involved vehicles.

Emergency medical services provided treatment to victims who were harmed in the crash. Those who required further medical care were transported to local hospitals. At this time, emergency officials are investigating to determine what caused this crash to occur.
