Kalihi, HI – 31-Year-Old Moped Rider in Critical Condition After Crash near Palanehe Place

Kalihi, HI (February 15, 2023) – A 31-year-old moped driver was involved in a collision in Kalihi on Tuesday afternoon. At approximately 4:00 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to render aid to the involved individuals. 

Police say the accident took place near Palanehe Place when the moped rider was involved in a crash with an SUV that was attempting to turn into a residence. The SUV driver was not injured. 

Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital with critical injuries. Authorities in Kalihi are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
