Hawaii Car Accidents
Throughout the United States, car accidents happen all the time. In fact, more than 17,000 car accidents are reported daily in the United States that cause over 7,500 people to sustain injuries. More than 6 million auto accidents are reported annually in our country that cause injuries to over 3 million people. This is an alarming number that continues to rise each year. These wrecks can take place for a multitude of different reasons, ranging from vehicle problems to road construction. However, over 90% of traffic accidents in the US today are caused by the actions of negligent drivers.
Driver negligence can be displayed in many different ways. Distraction is the most prevalent form of driver negligence throughout the nation today, probably due to everyone feeling the need to check their phones constantly. Even while operating moving vehicles on busy roadways, some drivers cannot wait to check their phones, which can lead to severe accidents that end in injuries and death for the involved parties. This is a selfish and dangerous act committed by millions of drivers throughout the country annually. Over 400,000 car crashes are reported per year due to distracted driving. Over 3,000 people lose their lives in these distracted driving accidents per year. These numbers are comparable to the crash rates in the most populated states in the US, like Texas, Florida, and California.
Being seriously hurt in a car accident can be extremely hard. Depending on how bad your injuries are, you could be stuck in the hospital, unable to work, with painful and debilitating injuries. Your hospital stay could extend for weeks, keeping you from earning a living and seeing your friends and family. This can be stressful, depressing, and overwhelming. Sadly, some injuries suffered in serious car wrecks affect the lives of victims for longer than just a few years. Crash victims sometimes end up with disabilities that affect them for the rest of their lives. Luckily, an attorney can help you collect compensation that can at least help you through the initial phases of your crash aftermath, especially the financial aspect.
When you work with an attorney, they can help you get the maximum compensation available for the damages you face. Unfortunately, insurance companies are not out to help you recover, they work for a profit. They actually hire people who are instructed to contact you in the days and weeks following your accident–when you’re most vulnerable, so you may be more likely to settle for less compensation than you deserve. You can file a personal injury claim that can help you financially recover after you’re hurt by another person’s negligent actions. You may be able to collect compensation for medical care costs, repairs to your vehicle, lost wages, and more.
At Leavitt, Yamane & Soldner, we are completely dedicated to assisting you in preserving your legal rights by collecting full and fair financial compensation for the losses and injuries you’re faced with. You deserve to be able to financially recover during this difficult time. Though driver negligence is, no doubt, one of the most preventable causes of car wrecks in the US, it is the most common reason they occur.
If you or someone you love has recently been hurt in an auto accident caused by a negligent driver, our skilled car crash attorneys in Kalaeloa are prepared to thoroughly investigate your case, help you understand your legal rights, and help you figure out the best way to get the financial compensation you deserve.
