Kaimuki, HI – Injuries Reported in Auto Accident on H1 near 6th Ave

Kaimuki, HI (January 29, 2023) – A traffic collision was reported to police in Kaimuki on the afternoon of January 27. Shortly before 12:40 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident on H1. 

Sources say the accident happened on H1 near 6th Avenue when vehicles crashed for reasons still under police investigation. Emergency responders including police and EMTs were seen helping those involved at the scene. 

One or more individuals involved were treated for injuries on-site. Those who were seriously hurt were transported by ambulance to area hospitals for further aid. 

The westbound lanes of the roadway were blocked while emergency responders worked to secure the scene. Police are still working to determine the cause of the incident.
