Hawaii Auto Accidents

Auto accidents are one of the leading causes of injuries and fatalities in the United States. Every year, millions of people are sent to emergency rooms across the country due to injuries they sustained in vehicle collisions. Thousands of others tragically lose their lives due to their injuries.

Vehicle accidents can happen for many different reasons, including:

  • Drunk driving
  • Distracted driving
  • Drowsy driving
  • Speeding
  • Negligent drivers
  • Aggressive driving
  • Automobile defects
  • Dangerous driving conditions
  • Inclement weather

The victims of auto accidents can sustain injuries ranging from minor to severe. Sadly, many will suffer catastrophic injuries that may last for the rest of their lives. Some of these include:

  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Amputations
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Permanent disabilities
  • Paraplegia
  • Quadriplegia

Aside from physical injuries, car wrecks can also result in severe emotional and financial difficulties. Alarmingly, most of these accidents are easily preventable. If drivers were more careful and considerate while behind the wheel, everyone would be much safer while out on the road. Over 90% of reported car wrecks in the United States are the result of driver negligence.

Severe auto accidents are life-altering experiences. The collision itself is only the beginning of what may turn out to be an extremely long and arduous process of determining fault, filing an insurance claim, and, most importantly, getting the closure you need to move on with your life. You don’t have to face this alone.
