Car Accidents in Hawaii

Every year, thousands of people are injured as a result of automobile accidents in Hawaii. Unfortunately, there are countless instances where people are left with severe injuries that affect their lives forever. After being hurt in an accident, injured parties have the ability to take legal action.

It is important to note that the state of Hawaii abides by no-fault car insurance laws. This means injured parties will have to file a claim with their own insurance company for repayment of their medical costs, no matter how the accident happened.

When someone behind the wheel of an object that has the power to kill is distracted, irresponsible, or careless, the chances of them killing an innocent person or leaving an innocent person with critical injuries are quite high. Unfortunately, many accidents take place due to driver errors.

Some common forms of negligence that often lead to serious auto crashes include:

  • Vehicles that are poorly maintained
  • Roadways and intersections that are badly designed
  • Drives who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Inattentive drivers, such as those reading text messages and making telephone calls
  • Drivers who are aggressive or reckless

These and countless other forms of negligence put thousands of innocent people in harm’s way each and every day, including bicyclists, pedestrians, children, and even other motorists and their passengers.

If you have been harmed as a result of an automobile accident, it is important that you take legal action. Seeking guidance from a Hawaii car accident lawyer can provide you with the best chance of protecting your rights in holding the negligent party accountable.
