Honolulu, HI – Young Boy Hurt in Pedestrian Crash on Kiwila St near Palolo Valley District Park

Honolulu, HI (September 10, 2023) – A boy, age 12, was injured after being hit by a vehicle while he crossed a street in Kaimuki on Friday night. Police say he was struck at around 9:20 p.m. 

Responders in the area were dispatched to the scene on Kiwila Street near Palolo Valley District Park. Paramedics responded and rendered aid before transporting the boy to the hospital for treatment. 

Reports show the driver was a 16-year-old boy who fled the scene without stopping; however, police were able to arrest him. Authorities in Honolulu continue to investigate the details of the accident.
