The Island of Hawaii is home to approximately 1.4 million people, while many more visit each year, so it is not surprising that thousands of car accidents happen per year in the Aloha State. Regrettably, over 10,000 of these crashes cause injuries to the people involved.
Over 3 million sustain injuries in accidents that occur across the nation each year. Lamentably, tens of thousands of Americans lose their lives per year in auto collisions that are preventable and caused by driver negligence.
Driver negligence comes in several forms, including distraction, intoxication, and fatigue. Each year, over 400,000 auto collisions happen because of drivers who allow themselves to become distracted behind the wheel. Additionally, driver intoxication is behind around 30% of deadly crashes in the US.
